Structure
Children under three will join our Acorns room, in which the staff create different activities daily to encourage adventure, play and learning in a fun, supportive environment. Your child is allocated a key worker from their first visit with whom they will form a close bond, and who will review your child on a regular basis and keep you involved in regular discussions on their development and how they are growing and learning.
At around the age of three, depending on when your child is ready, they will move into the Oaks room, which continues to provide a wide variety of activities that change each day. Their designated key worker will ensure they are happy, cared for and encouraged to develop through interesting and stimulating play, helping to foster independence and grow in confidence. Your child’s key worker will continue to keep you up-to-date on your child’s development within the Preschool regularly.
Our key workers are happy to speak to you should you wish to discuss any aspect of your child’s care whilst at Preschool, or would like advice on their development and learning in general.

Outdoor Play
The Acorns and Oaks share an outdoor play area, with a play house, scooters, climbing equipment, sand/water tables and other activities, with a large, open area of cushioned, non-slip flooring.
There is also a small vegetable patch, which encourages an interest in food and where it comes from, promotes teamwork and makes conversations about healthy eating, fun.
This shared outdoor time allows both Acorns and Oaks to benefit from playing together, enjoying the fresh air and physical activity whilst amongst an age-diverse group of children.
